The Bildal Low Intensity Series Isolation Transformer (SIT) is a high performing toroidal transformer made from high grade, grain-oriented silicon steel.
- Compared to a traditional transformer, the toroidal – or doughnut-like shape – provides higher efficiency and lower stay losses (leakage flux).
- Compact in size and lower in weight, making it easier to fit inside pits.
- Resistant to UV exposure and won’t corrode over time.
- Suitable for areas contaminated with most oils, aircraft fuels, soil acids and alkalis and de-icing fluids.
- Can be installed above ground, in concrete, non metallic pits, metal cans or direct buried.
- Engineered to operate submerged in water indefinitely.
- Injection moulded TPR rubber for uniform encapsulation to yield a lower leakage current.
