1. Core the hole.
Core a 250mm diameter hole with 20mm clearance below the can so that Megapoxy can flow under the light. Note – the can is wider at the bottom than the top.
The can has cable entries on the bottom and on the side – you can choose either. They suit conduit size 25mm or 32mm.
Choose your entry point and seal the can so that the Megapoxy doesn’t flow into the can.
2. Feed the cable.
Feed the secondary cable into the preferred entry point of the can. Connect a style 12 (female) secondary connector onto the end of the cable for connection into the light.
Consider the position of the can in relation to the entry points for conduit/cable. The can MUST be orientated so that the slots on the can, (circled in red) run parallel to the runway centreline. Conduit and cable needs to accommodate the can.

3. Level the can.
Position the can in place. Check the can is flush with the surface, with 20mm clearance for Megapoxy to flow under the light.
Use something thin (like plastic) to protect the pavement. Anything thick (like cardboard) will alter the alignment between the can and the pavement.
Position the jig over the middle of can. Secure it in place with M10 washers and nuts.
Adjust the feet on the jig to level the light. Use the spirit level to check it is level with the ground and there is sufficient space under the can.
Using gloves, mix and pour the Megapoxy around the outside of the can. For a nice finish, pour 10mm shy of the top and then finish with Dow Cornings 890-SL.
Wait until the Megapoxy is cured before removing the jig.
4. Aerolight tips
If you have multiple insets to do, it’s worth having more than 1 jig so that multiple cans can be installed with one Megapoxy mix. As a guide, for a clean hole in concrete, 1 megapoxy mix will fill 3 cans. For asphalt, expect only 2 cans.
Be ready! When you pour Megapoxy it causes the light to lift up. You will need to apply downward pressure to the jig so that the can is levelled and does not float.
Warning! Read the Megapoxy Instructions carefully – once mixed, the resin is very hot and goes off quickly.
